Appeal For Information After 75yo Cyclist Left With ‘Life Threatening Injuries’

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was found with serious injuries on a country road in Wrexham.

North Wales Police were called by an ambulance crew at about 1.20pm yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) to the Old Wrexham Road near Gresford.

A 75 year old male pedal cyclist was found in middle of road with life threatening injuries and taken to hospital.

Sgt Jane Thomas of the Roads Policing Unit said; “There is nothing at this stage to suggest the involvement of another vehicle

“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or had sightings of the cyclist riding his white and black old style bike prior to the collision, to contact police on 101. Reference number S023045.”
