The suspect is described at 6ft tall and was wearing tracksuit bottoms, black gloves, and a dark grey hooded top.
DCI Simon Williams said; “We understand the business community and the wider public are increasingly concerned about the recent incidents of robbery in the area.
“We are keeping an open mind as to whether these two latest offences are linked to previous incidents.
“However, I would like to stress to the business community and to the public that we are investing considerable resources and specialist teams to arrest these offenders.
“Extra patrols are in place and we are working with shop staff, providing advice and implementing safety measures.
“We do need the public to help us by providing any information they can so that we can bring these offenders to justice.”
Anyone with information, or anyone who may have captured something of either incident on dashcam or their phone is asked to call 101 quoting reference RC17022468 for Poyser Street or RC17022477 for Prince Charles Road.
