North Wales Police are appealing for information after three men attacked a youth on Holt Road late on Friday evening.

Around 10:40pm a seventeen year old male was walking along Holt Road towards the town centre close to Chanticleer Close when three men wearing dark clothing, with hoods up, attacked him.

The men demanded the youngsters mobile phone, and during the attack placed a ‘pointed implement’ on his right cheek.

Thankfully a passer by shouted “Let him go!”. This scared off the attackers, who ran off empty handed towards Brooklands Garage, which is out of town direction along Holt Road.

The youngster who was attacked suffered minor injuries.

Detective Sergent Kevin Bowden of North Wales Police sad “This was an unprovoked attack on a young male.”

He also reassured the public stating “This is not a common occurrence in Wrexham”.

North Wales Police would urge anyone with any information to get in touch by ringing 101. They are also keen for the person who thankfully intervened to also get in touch with them.
