Appeal After Cars Damaged & Stolen In Wrexham Over Weekend

A reminder for motorists to keep their vehicles secure has been issued, after two cars were stolen and abandoned over the weekend.

On Saturday 7th February a Mitsubishi pick-up was stolen from outside a property on Camberley Drive, Wrexham. The incident took place at around 3:45pm.

The owner of temporarily left the vehicle and the keys in the car. When the owner returned the vehicle was gone

A male in a green coat was seen driving off in the car, which had a satellite tracking system and was later found and recovered on Warwick Avenue.

The vehicle has since been forensically examined and the incident investigated.

In a separate incident a Ford Transit Van was stolen following a burglary / forced entry in a property in Acton.

The incident took place between 1pm and 3:30pm on Sunday 8th February.

A white Ford Transit Van with a blue strip on the windscreen was stolen and later recovered.

A third incident also took place over the weekend on Ruabon Road were the wing mirrors on Ford Focus were bent back overnight. A number of other vehicles on the street also had damage caused to their cars.

Any witnesses or anyone with any further information on either incident is advised to call North Wales Police on 101.
