Air ambulance lands at Ysgol Bryn Alyn to help member of public – not pupil

The Wales Air Ambulance has landed in Gwersyllt this afternoon.

The air ambulance was circling Gwersyllt just before 1pm and landed at the school.

Ysgol Bryn Alyn has said: “An Air Ambulance has had to land on our top yard for a member of the public. It is not there for any of our pupils.”

A spokesperson for Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called on Wednesday 4 September at approximately 12:18 pm to reports of a person needing urgent medical attention in Gwersyllt.

“We responded with one emergency ambulance and an ambulance officer and our crew was supported by the Wales Air Ambulance.

“One patient was transported by air ambulance to Maelor Hospital, Wrexham.”
