Two Vehicle Incident On A525 By Bangor-On-Dee

The A525 road by Bangor on Dee was closed this morning as emergency services attended a two vehicle incident.

Update: Restrictions are still in place on the A525.

The Welsh Ambulance Service have said “We had a call at 6.50am to a two-vehicle road traffic collision near Bangor-on-Dee, Wrexham. We responded with four emergency ambulances, and three men – two in their 30s and one in his 40s – were taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

“Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. A fourth man was given a precautionary check-up at the scene.”

Police were called at 6:59am to the incident involving a Ford Transit van and a SEAT Ibiza. The ambulance service and fire service also attended.

One lane of the road has reopened with the Highways Agency in attendance.

North Wales Police said at 7:25am: “A525 south of Bangor on Dee at Halghton Bridge closed following RTC, closed for approx 2 hours. If travelling into Wrexham use A539 & A528”

The incident occurred just before 7am this morning, and ‘recovery work’ is taking place.

The A525 was closed both ways between B5069 Whitchurch Road and the A539.
