Road Closed After ‘Serious Collison’ Between Halton & Ruabon

The A5 between Halton Roundabout and Ruabon is closed due to a ‘serious’ road traffic collision.

UPDATE: One person has been taken by helicopter to Stoke Hospital, another taken to the Maelor hospital via ambulance.

Earlier this evening the Coastguard helicopter was in the area, believed to be assisting.

It is thought the collision took place shortly after 7pm this evening, with emergency services currently at the scene.

Two vehicles have been involved in the collision which has been described as ‘serious’

As a result of the collision there is heavy traffic on the A483/A5 towards Chirk.
