Thousands of people have visited St Giles Parish Church a unique poppy display created to commemorate the end of World War One.

The display of 10,000 knitted and crocheted poppies were created by people far and wide, from Australia to members of the St Giles’ congregation and also many people from the Wrexham, to remember the thousands in the Royal Welch Fusiliers who lost their lives.

The RWF lost close to 10,000 men in the War, with the poppies on display in the RWF Chapel, next to the Town’s War Memorials in the church.

So far more than 4,000 people have visited the poppies, which are on display in St Giles until the end of November.
