Like many I’m thoroughly disenchanted with our political parties at present. Maybe the LibDems aren’t as bad as the two major parties but when I see people advocating a vote for the Brexit party then I realise that the world has gone mad. Apart from leaving Europe they have no policies and have a leader who has milked the system for years. He knows that even when leaving Europe he has a pension of over £700k per annum. The man is a good speaker but that’s it, nothing substantial to offer.
A large part of our difficulty at present is that it was apparent that no one advocating Brexit three years ago had a plan for proceeding after Brexit, and still do not.
I hope that many people are concerned, as I am, about the country in general and that Brexit has caused inaction on so many fronts. The whole country looks defeated. There are complaints here in Wrexham about the homeless on our streets, empty derelict shops, uncut verges and weed filled gutters. Believe most of the country looks like that.

Perhaps if the Leader worked with his Cabinet, instead of listening to an unelected adviser, the position might be different.
One of the dangers of a general election now is that many people may decide not to vote at all, citing the non action of the referendum vote as a reason.

Our planners seem to have a blind spot about bins. Let’s hope it doesn’t take 6 years to find a new home foe the bins which have appeared on the front lawn by the library. Presumably they were displaced by the building of the police station.

What did leavers think would happen following the Referendum if not a deal? This is just the start, we will be deal making for many a day. Let’s hope our deal makers are up to the job!

If he has the solutions to the various impasse, why has he not put them forward before?
Like all those who voted leave, I’d like to see it done, but not at any cost. Then perhaps we can start dealing with some of the other problems in our country.

You basically have to stay 1 step ahead at all times

WhenI was expecting my first baby, a well practiced mum said ‘Low animal cunning is what you need to stay ahead!’

I had many occasions to reflect the truth of the advice!

Yes, the majority voted out. That is not disputed. But did people vote out under certain circumstances or out under any circumstances? Even of those who voted out in Wrexham won’t all be satisfied.

As you state none of the MPs have come up with a solution. Where are the MPs who said it would be easy, trade deals would be in place by Brexit Day, more money for NHS etc?
If it was easy, no doubt the Prime Minister who gave us the referendum, would have remained in post to see it through.
As many others have stated, our MP is there to make rational decisions on our behalf. I expect him to use his education, experience and knowledge to read what’s on offer, weigh up the pros and cons and vote accordingly. It won’t satisfy everyone, but that is the democratic system we have.

The information shows a drop in figures for every quarter, including when the parking was free. Given the already stated health and well being benefits for using the parks, surely this is what we should all, including Council and officers, be concerned about.

The Remembrance Service and commemoration is a civic ceremony, organised by the Council for the public to observe and join the National Remembrance. The Mayor attends as First Citizen and everyone else attends at the invitation the Mayor. Before discussing whether or not we can afford a Mayor, can we see some hard figures as to the actual cost of the role, which of those costs would be saved and which would still continue as parts of the role need to be carried out by someone else.
Is the Mayor paid £23,000 for the role of Mayor? I understood he received the usual Councillor’s allowance, plus an allowance for the role.
