Matt, I think Lucas is being disingenuous when he makes reference to ‘this brexit deal’. There is NO brexit deal he would vote for at all. If he can not take forward the wishes of the Wrexham electorate he should do the honourable thing and resign. But as he doesn’t have an honourable bone in his body, then were stuck with him.

As for the EU referendum question, I though it was quite self explanatory. The option was to remain or leave. Not leave but like this, or Leave but still chained to this institution. If the people of the UK voted leave then leave it should be.

I believe the negotiations with the EU would have gone much better, with a better outcome if MP’s like Lucas put their own personal opinions to the side and supported the leave agenda, instead MP’s like him have sought to undermine the government at every opportunity and in turn he has undermined the people of Wrexham.

Is this first come first served and which good Samaritan turns away numbers 11, 12, 13 ….. ?

Councillor X – I spoke with a friend last night who works with the Salvation Army in town and she told me that this project has already identified 10 homeless people who will have these beds over the next 10 weeks. So in essence this scheme will help the same 10 people. As for all the others, Im not sure?

    BIG deal Matt.

You say this like it’s a magnanimous response to the social problem of homelessness from the faith community. In earlier times the church as a beacon of ‘sanctuary’ to all that needed help and protection. Now the ‘do-gooders’ only seem to be interested in the odd night of help, that is unless your from another country, then they roll out the red carpet and endless ‘meaningful’ support. Not just a plate of food and a can of deodorant to ease their consciences. I for one believe the response has been pretty poor.

Where are the ‘bleeding hearts’ from the church and faith sector. I seem to remember they were all out in force on the steps of the Guild Hall when there was the smell of refugee’s in the air…!

I wonder if the growing number of HMO’s has something to do with my understanding that there’re changes afoot with housing benefit..? I have heard that single people will only be able to apply for a ‘single room rate’ in shared facilities from HB; hence the demand for HMO’s…?

I wonder if someone with their ear closer to the ground has heard the same or if any other contributor can shed some light..?

Matt you are constantly critical of others opinions (have a look at your many posts) and your running the risk of stifling debate and discussion rather than learning from it.

Chin up olde bean and for once embrace a little love for the idea. it wont harm you I promise. x

    Well said Zinger.

I too agree, Wrexham has a proud heritage and football has been at the heart of Wrexham and many Wrexham people for over a hundred years. Why can’t we have both…that is more football played by children and young people and a museum to celebrate our rich heritage.

Matt your a real bore! You must have a very sad existence.

    Hiya,

I know of an excellent scheme on Caia that helps support families and young children. Its called FLYING START and they have a Facebook page advertising their service. It might be worth getting in touch with them to see if there is any help they can offer you?
