Can I just clarify this point for everyone, there was a meeting of the Community Centre team yesterday also attended by Community Councillors, more people have volunteered to support this project. The difficult decisions document is not lying, there was an error made when it was printed. If the Management Committee and others had not taken the time to put forward a rescue plan and create a Charitable Trust to run the Community Centre then sadly the comment would have been correct. The Management Committee and Pen-Y-Cae Community Council are working with Wrexham Council to ensure that the building is transferred to the trust with a pepper corn rent. Thank you to all who attended last night’s meeting it saw the departure of one of the driving forces Mr. Edwyn Evans who is leaving the community but also new members joining the existing committee members. There are some very committed people in our village. Alyn Thomas Chair Pen-Y-Cae Community Council

Dave I think you have missed something we have just had the local elections the next election is a general election for an MP.

I can say knowing both MP’s both Ian and Susan Elenn Jones they both do a considerable amount of work for their constituents.

The election is clearly a politically charged one and irrespective of who is in charge we need to consider which party will be more suitable. The Labour Party is meant to be the party for the working person. It is important to consider this, the Conservatives will think nothing of reducing the rights of the worker, this has been seen through austerity, more and more employers are bullying staff, why because staff are frightened to stand up for their rights.

As a Unionist and a Union Representative you might say I would make those comments however it is important to remember your rights as a worker have and are being eroded at least with a labour government we have a change of making those rights stronger. Such having your rights as a worker confirmed at the outset and not have to wait two years for full rights.

Hello Penycae, having read your post, I would note the following the current councillors have a proven track record, it is important to realise you there are two wards Pen-Y-Cae which covers Eitha or the lower part of the village and Pen-Y-Cae and Ruabon South which covers the top part of the village.

In suggesting you might want to consider the current councillors they have a proven track record for supporting the village and also have the experience.

At times we may wish to consider a change but I would say that should be more on the back of when nothing has been done to show any form of improvement.

If you live the Pen-y=Cae part (eitha), I would say there is but one Candidate, he is independent and indeed has run his campaign with some integrity and dignity
