If any reader manages to get to the Teresa May visit today there is probably only one question–
How can she make statements about changes to Health and Social care in Wrexham when the Conservatives don’t have control on these area of expenditure in Wales as they are devolved to the Welsh Government- is she looking to remove existing powers from Wales on decision making to align us to England?

Don’t hold your breath waiting for any contentious questions to be raised at Teresa May’s visit. Just expect plenty of whooping and cheering from the SELECTED attendees. Not the first time on this election trail the the general public have been excluded from the meet and greets.

ANYONE who has yet to see what a divisive party the Tories are who work only for the rich and big business, are absolutely deluding themselves. This permeates from top to bottom, Westminster to local level.

I urge anyone in the Wrexham and Wrexham South constituencies to vote for anyone except the Tory candidate otherwise the problems we have in Wrexham at this time will be magnified tenfold when the Tory manifesto really kicks in.

Could Wrexham muster only 1 protester? Poor showing, no eggs either……times are very hard.

If they’d have publicised it a bit in advance, she would have had a very much more well attended reception I would imagine. Totally understand why they didn’t of course. Now, what did Nye Bevan say regarding Tories again ??

Ah yes, I remember. Pity some people are starting to forget.

I hope the people of Wrexham see the Conservatives for what they are. More revisions to their manifesto, Theresa May more faces than the Stiwt Clock. A vote for Atkinson is a vote for a guy who…begged to be elected as a Councillor, spends his days looking for a photo opportunity, joins groups to take some press coverage and then disappears into thin air. Guy is just not the level of candidate that Wrexham deserves.

We need to ensure that Theresa May doesn’t increase her majority..the polls are tightening. Let’s make sure the Tories don’t take Wrexham. A vote for the Lib Dems or Plaid is just a vote for Atkinson. Use your vote for Labour if you don’t want a Tory in, only realistic chance of keeping them out.

There was more than 1 protestor. You could hear them when May weaseled away in her car after the event. Only one got arrested, possibly unwarranted. He was a bit stupid to use the words “Kill May”, but I doubt he actually posed a threat to the PM – otherwise he wouldn’t have been released without charge later.

This visit did Andrew Atkinson no favours in his photo campaign — the media will cover more about the protest than Teresa May actual visit.
Orchestrated visit, no contact with the public. Typical Party carrying out old style ‘Grace and Favour’ – absolute shame that she made no contact with ordinary people who were not part of the great and good in the Conservative Party in Wrexham. Considering Andrew Atkinson needs votes the lack of engagement with the undecided will not have swayed in his favour!!

    Welsh Conservative distorted statement!!
“We have delivered on our commitment to build a multimillion pound modern prison
in Wrexham which has already given a £100 million boost to the local economy.”

How much of the £100 million build cost actually came to local businesses and supply chain- we clearly had lots of workers there but also lots from outside the area as we did not have enough to meet the demand. We produce very little building materials in the area so most was brought in.

Possibly 10% may have been direct local benifit. £10m not £100m

Why wont Andrew Atkinson refute any of the items on the Wrexham.com threads – is he now like Teresa May and dodges the people who ask the questions as the answers may not fit their agenda.

Are there any hustings going to take place only heard of TCC doing one on 31st May
