Break-in's around Christmas

I’ve lived on The Fairways estate now for just over 6 years and yes there has been a few break-in’s over the years but just lately there seems to be one reported almost every week! I take it they must be after Christmas presents but why do they seem to hit this estate so much? I am beginning to wish I never moved here.

Perhaps they find the “shopping experience” more to their liking on that estate.

Definitely seems that way! Having 3 young children I am very worried I have to say. Luckily I rent so I will be moving next year.
