Police Appeal After Body Found Near Coedpoeth
Police are appealing for witnesses after the body of a 28 year old man was found under a bridge near Coedpoeth yesterday afternoon.
At 3.47pm yesterday police were informed of a collision involving a pedal cyclist which occurred on Rhosberse Road, Coedpoeth, near the Nant Mill Visitor Centre
The man was found at the location and the Ambulance Service attended along with the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, however, the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, it is not believed that any other vehicles were involved in the incident and investigations into the incident are ongoing at this time.
Eyewitness reports in today’s Daily Post have suggested that the man may have lost control whilst cycling round a bend and fallen over the parapet of the bridge which has a 40ft drop below it.

In a statement North Wales Police said:
“The family of the deceased have been informed and are being supported by Family Liaison Officers. North Wales Police are currently not in a position to name the deceased at this time.
“Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have information to contact PC 450 Jackson or T/Inspector 1633 Davies at the Roads Policing Unit on 101 (if in Wales) or 0845 6071001 (Welsh language line) or 0845 6071002 (English language line).”
