Chief Inspector Alex Goss of North Wales Police is urging members of the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour they see around school premises. This initiative is also part of a force-wide operation which aims to promote partnership working between local councils and other emergency services.

North Wales Police are asking those who live near schools, or who overlook, drive past or see them to essentially keep an eye out and to ask themselves “Who is there ? Why are they there ? What are they doing ?”

If you see anything unusual or anyone acting suspiciously, or someone on the school premises the police are requesting that you report it.

Even though caretakers visit the schools on a regular basis, the absence of children and staff can make schools a target for theft, anti-social behaviour and other incidents, both during the day and night. Chief Inspector Alex Goss, North Wales Police and the Wrexham Community Safety Partnership are asking you to be vigilant at this time and look out for your local school by reporting any suspicious activity to the North Wales Police control room by dialling the non emergency number 101 or report to Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 in an emergency, always dial 999
