Wrexham Symphony Orchestra join with Techniquest Glyndwr in a weekend of events and activities that will commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Lunar Landing and First Moon Walk exactly 50 years to the day.

Techniquest are holding a Lunar weekend July 20th and 21st and as part of that the Orchestra will conclude their 50th Anniversary concert season on July 20th at 7.30pm in the William Aston Hall, in a programme which includes Gustav Holst’s The Planets and Sibelius wonderful Violin Concerto performed by renowned international violinist Sophie Rosa from Cheshire.

From 6pm, Techniquest will be showcasing a number of hands on activities in the foyer and will be presenting The Planets in the Night Sky in their Planetarium Dome. Tickets for the concert are available from Techniquest Glyndwr, Wrexham and Llangollen Tourist Information Centres and also on line from www.wrexhamorch.co.uk/tickets.
