The Odeon in Wrexham will be one of the first cinemas in the country to screen the new Batman film The Dark Knight Rises.

The cinema is hosting a special 5am on the film’s release date on 20th July.

The 5am slot means that Wrexhamites will be able to watch the film at the same time it is released in the US at 12am their time.

Wrexham.com will be up with the early birds to catch the special screening of one of this year’s mostly hotly anticipated films.

So far the Wrexham cinema is the only one in Wales to show the film at 5am and one of only a few in the UK.

The only country which will get to see the film earlier is Australia where the film will be released on July 19th.

A member of staff at the Odeon said the film will finish no later than 8.30am giving people ample time to get to work or school afterwards.
