Wrexham Carers – How to get involved and what’s coming up…

Each month the Wrexham Carers Forum get together at AVOW (on Egerton Street) to discuss various issues both locally and nationally.

The group have a number of events lined up over the course of September and October so if you are a carer based in Wrexham and would like to get involved call 0800 276 1070. Here’s what they have coming up:-

* Tuesday 4th September (2-4PM) at AVOW – Wrexham Carers Forum monthly meeting

* Saturday 8th September (meet at 11.30AM) – Archaeological visit to Pont y Capel fields, Llay
An insight into the work of a community heritage volunteer project and chance to talk with some of the archaeologists involved. Attendees must be registered with the Wrexham Carers Service.

* Friday 21st September (10.30-11.15AM) – Zumba at Capel y Goes, Bodhyfryd, Wrexham.
A chance to try out the latest exercise craze combining dance and aerobics. Cost is £1.50 and attendees must be registered with the Wrexham Carers Service.

* Wednesday 10th October (12.15PM) – Visit to Erddig Hall & Gardens
One of the stand out Wrexham icons, an opportunity to tour the house and gardens and immerse in the history of this amazing building. Cost is £1.50 and attendees must be registered with the Wrexham Carers Service.
