Wrexham FC released pictures today of the special commemorative ticket which all fans attending Saturday’s 150th Anniversary game against Grimsby will receive as they pass through the turnstiles.

Modelled on an old ticket, it is sure to become a fans favourite as a souvenir of this historic match.

Director of the Football Club, Spencer Harris, said “We are expecting a bumper crowd on Saturday to celebrate our anniversary as the third oldest professional football club in the world. Tickets have been selling really well. There is a packed programme of family events starting at 2pm, and we wanted to ensure that everyone coming to cheer on the Reds goes home with a souvenir, and our special commemorative ticket fits the bill nicely.

“Match tickets have sold so well, that the Mold Road Stand and UCML (Yale) Centre Stand will both be Ticket Only. This means no cash admissions for those particular areas on the day, but any available seats can still be bought either online or from the Club Shop up until kick off. Tickets bought online can be printed at home, avoiding the need to queue for tickets on the day.

“There are still plenty of seats left in the other stands, with prices in advance from £13 and kids just £1. We urge all Wrexham fans to ensure they can be at the game, by buying online or from the Club Shop as soon as possible. Make sure you bring friends and family too – this is one game you don’t want to miss”

Gates open just before 2pm with events inside the ground starting at 2pm. The Fron Male Voice choir will be there to ensure that the crowd are in fine song, whilst the Cambria Band will also be filling the stadium with rhythm and noise.

Other entertainment includes a pyrotechnic spectacular from the KOP, a parade of former players going back to the 1950s, and the much awaited show-down between Wrex the Dragon and the recently sighted Rockin’ Robin.
