Get ready for more hockey action arriving at Wrexham Glynd Sports Centre between Friday 12 July and Sunday 14 July as Wales Senior Men take on Austria in a two test series. Hockey Wales is inviting you to come along and watch the games as the team prepare for the EuroHockey Championships in the summer and Commonwealth Games.

The first test in Wrexham takes place during the afternoon of Saturday 13 July and the second game begins at midday on Sunday 14 July. These games are an opportunity for the public of Wales to watch the Wales Men as they prepare for their European encounter in Vienna during August 2013 and the fast approaching Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The two day event will include a coaching session with the Senior Men’s Performance Squad Coaches, as well as the two test matches. The international coaching session is a chance for young hockey players to get some hints and tips from world class coaches and to improve their game.

Debra Barker, North Wales Regional Manager said: “We are excited to have the Senior Men’s squad play here in Wrexham as they continue their preparation for not only the European Championships in the summer but also the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next year. This is a fantastic opportunity for the people of North Wales to see international level hockey being played in the region, and need to make the most of this opportunity.”
