The rebuilding of the Wrexham squad continues with the arrival of forward Chris Holroyd and James Jennings to the Racecourse.

Born in Cheshire and starting his career as a youth player with Crewe then professionally with Chester, 30-year-old Chris Holroyd has arrived at the Racecourse on a one-year deal to hopefully get goals for Wrexham.

James Jennings, who played the second half of last season with the Reds and quickly established himself as a favourite with the Wrexham supporters, has also signed for the reds on a two year deal.

The 29-year-old was signed by Cheltenham Town last summer from neighbours Forest Green Rovers, after they won promotion back into the Football League. Yet after playing in five games in August, he was shipped out on loan to Morecambe before the Transfer Window closed.

Some 15 appearances followed for the Shrimps, but their financial issues meant his initial loan period wasn’t extended, allowing manager Dean Keates to step in smartly and snap up the defender in early January.
