This morning Dee Valley Water posted another update on the dirty water situation affecting some people in the Wrexham area.

One person on twitter observed: “They had cleaner water on Bear Grylls Island”, with others mentioning lack of updates or notifications on the issue. Nicky added: ” ‘unlikely’ to cause a hazard to health?! That fills me with confidence”.

The last update was at 5:30am and reads as follows, again saying the issue is ‘unlikely’ to be harmful:”Properties in Rhostyllen, Hightown, Sontley, Coed y Glyn, Bersham, Felin Puleston and surrounding areas of Wrexham may be experiencing discoloured or aerated water following repairs to a burst main on Friday 15.5.2015.

“The discolouration whilst unsightly, is unlikely to be harmful to health. Our engineers are continuing to flush mains where affected to restore supplies to normal.

“If you are experiencing a problem please run your cold kitchen tap until the water clears. We are using all our resources to return the supply back to normal and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused.”

Yesterday we were sent this video of the dirty water coming out of a tap locally:
