Wrexham Remploy keen to help even more disabled jobseekers

A Wrexham-based organisation which offers expert employment and skills support for people with disabilities and other health conditions, is determined to help even more local residents.

Remploy, the UK’s leading disability specialists, offers support to people who are disabled or have a health condition, along with helping long-term unemployed or armed forces veterans.

The service also offers help to those suffering from addiction, living with housing issues and financial problems.

Based on Regent House on Regent Street, its Work & Health Programme Wales offers tailored, community-based employment support to help individuals develop their skills and enter work.

Eligible individuals are granted access to a wide range of local support services, both pre-employment and in the workplace. It offers an unrivalled relationship, with specialist support advisors available seven days a week.

Wrexham’s Assembly Member Lesley Griffiths recently visited Remploy to meet with staff and service users and hear more about the Work & Health Programme Wales.

After her visit, Lesley Griffiths AM said: “Remploy helps transform lives through sustained employment and after visiting their community hub on Regent Street, it’s clear to see there is a wide range of support services available for local residents.”

“The organisation is here to help. Referrals to Remploy are granted through the Job Centre and those entitled to support are being encouraged to take advantage of the specialist services on offer.

“We are lucky to have the facility on our doorstep and I hope even more people from Wrexham and the region turn to Remploy for support, advice and guidance.”

Remploy Cymru is the leading employment and skills provider in Wales and has been supporting disabled people into employment for more than 70 years. The organisation, which opened its new facility in Wrexham last September, has found jobs for more than 20,000 disabled people across Wales since 2009.

As well as transforming lives through sustained employment, Remploy also work with thousands of employers to help them create more inclusive workplaces.
