Wrexham Maelor Children’s Ward to host second charity glitter ball
The staff at Wrexham’s Children’s Ward will host a second fundraising charity glitter ball later this year.
Following on from the success of last year’s event, that raised £25,500 profit to help benefit patients and their families, staff members have announced plans for their next event to help continue their support and care for patients and families on the Children’s Ward.
Their Glitter Ball is to be held on Friday 27th September at Carden Park Hotel & Golf Resort. The event is supported for the second year running, by principal sponsors, SP Energy Networks.
The fundraising committee for the Children’s Unit is made up entirely of NHS staff members who are dedicating their spare time to make their second fundraising event another huge success.
Emma Cunnah-Newell, play specialist and committee member says: “We are all so passionate about providing the best care for patients and their families.
“We are extremely grateful for all the fantastic support and generosity we receive from local fundraisers and wish to continue our support and thanks to them by joining in with fundraising events and initiatives for a cause that is also very close to all our hearts to benefit our service users.”
The evening will see guests greeted with a glass of fizz on arrival and treated to a three course meal with a glass of wine whilst being entertained by live music, an auction and further entertainment throughout the evening – all in aid of the Wrexham Maelor Children’s Ward.
Ticket sales (£50pp) have launched to the general public. If you would you like to purchase tickets or a table for the evening, please do get in touch with Emma at [email protected] or on 07546 194428.
Sponsorship packages and tables are still available for local dignitaries, businesses and organisations to sponsor. Please visit here to view the sponsorship brochure.
