Wrexham fans are stepping up to the mark to climb Snowdon for the third year running.

The annual walk, organised by Wrexham Supporters’ Trust, is being joined for the first time by the club’s Chief Executive Don Bircham. He has now taken the plunge and will be climbing Snowdon with the rest of the fans to raise money for the club on Sunday, June 30th.

Don said: “I’ve seen fans over the last two years raising funds for the club, and I felt that I should lead by example! The football club need every penny we can get to remain competitive, and I would encourage all fans to make the effort of collecting sponsors; and sampling the experience of walking up Wales’ highest mountain. I hope that the weather will be kind to us, so that I can view the stunning scenery that I have been told about. If anyone would like to sponsor me then please don’t hesitate to do so! You can send your cheques to me at Wrexham Football Club.”

It’s not to late to join Don on the walk, so why not register by emailing [email protected]. The WST is organising free transport from the Turf pub to take walkers with more than £100 of sponsorship to the starting point at Pen y Pass car park at the foot of Snowdon. The walk starts at 10am and fans are urged to wear a Wrexham FC shirt or red top to make the maximum impact as they climb to the top of Wales.
