A Wrexham woman has condemned the local authority over a lack of grass cutting at a cemetery in Pandy.

Tracy Jones-Moore shared the above image on social media after a visit to Plas Acton Cemetery earlier this week.

She said the length of the grass meant that she was unable to get to her parents’ graveside.

She wrote: “Been to see mum and dad today and I couldn’t believe that Wrexham Council have allowed Plas Acton Cemetery to get into this state.

“I have to use crutches and a wheelchair but I was forced to stay on a bench and watch my husband wade through knee high long grass to get to my parents graveside.

“As you can see from pics that some people are having to use their own lawn mowers to get access to gravesides.

“This is totally unacceptable and I feel so guilty that we have laid our parents to rest in such an unkept place.”

We have contacted Wrexham Council and are awaiting further comment.
