Wrexham AFC sign Lucas Oil as new partner and stand sponsor

Wrexham AFC say they are delighted to announce Lucas Oil have signed as the Club’s “Official Oil Partner” and new sponsor of the University End stand in a two-season deal.

Lucas Oil are based in the US, but the company’s UK and European headquarters is on Anglesey.

Founded by Forrest and Charlotte Lucas, the family-owned performance lubrication specialists are one of the world’s leading manufacturers of engine oils, engine additives and workshop lubricants for the automotive and specialty markets. The engine additives range is one of the fastest-growing lines in the consumer automotive industry, while the problem- solving additives range is one of the broadest in the market.

The company are supporters of grassroots football in North Wales, having previously sponsored the Anglesey Football League, and teams in the Welsh Premier League, and Wrexham AFC also join the Dallas Cowboys and Indianapolis Colts in their stable of sporting sponsorships.

The Lucas Oil Stand will bear the company’s logos for the next two seasons, through to the end of the 2023/24 campaign, and Lucas Oil also join Wrexham AFC’s list of official partners as the designated Official Oil Partner of the Football Club.

Commenting on the new partnership, Wrexham AFC CEO Fleur Robinson said: “We are delighted to be welcoming another big-name international sponsor to the Football Club.

“Lucas Oil are a new partner of the Football Club, having not previously sponsored us, and join Macron and Wrexham Lager as stand sponsors at the Racecourse Ground.

“The Club’s stated commercial approach is to secure sponsors from an international, national and local base. As an international company, with a North Walian headquarters, they meet two of these criteria.

“We are all looking forward to hearing our passionate and vocal supporters backing the team from The Lucas Oil Stand from next season.”

Dan Morgan, director of sales and operations for UK, Europe and the rest of the word countries, said: “Like Wrexham AFC, Lucas Oil have US connections, are based in North Wales and are keen to develop closer ties with local communities.

“We feel this agreement provides our brand with opportunities to extend our support beyond motorsports and help promote football at every level in more inclusive ways.”
