Work on Christmas Celebrations in Wrexham Begins
There may be 80 days left until Christmas but the festive season is arriving early in Wrexham, with the town’s Christmas lights being put up across the town centre.
Visitors to the town over the past couple of days may have noticed that decoration of the town for the Christmas period had already begun, with lights being displayed on Hill Street and Chester Street.
Along with the Christmas lights being put up around town, details of Wrexham’s festive calendar of events have started to be unveiled – with many popular events returning for the Christmas period.
This year’s Christmas Light Switch on event will take place late November (date TBC shortly) and will see a lantern parade across the town centre, followed by local choirs singing carols around a Christmas tree. Full details of the event are still being finalised – so keep an eye out for the full festive programme and Wrexham’s very own Christmas mascot!
One event that has released its details over the past few days is the popular ‘Wrexham Victorian Market‘ which will take place at St Giles on December 10th.
The event has become a festive favourite in Wrexham and attracts thousands of visitors every year.
This year there will over 75 stalls selling homemade gifts, freshly made food, Christmas decorations, gifts and much, much more!
Over the next few it is expected that details of further events will be announced on the ‘Christmas in Wrexham’ Facebook page – so keep checking back to find out what Wrexham will have on offer this festive season!
