A woman has been arrested this evening near Llangollen on suspicion of drink driving.

In a policing update from the new Llay custody suite, it was revealed a female driver had been arrested and provided a reading of 137mg at the roadside, against the legal limit of 35mg.

Police say a concerned member of public followed the woman, and removed her car keys.

Police added, “Unbelievably, there was a child in the car.”

In an unrelated incident a man from Ruabon was arrested today on suspicion of breaching a restraining order and criminal damage.
