Police in Wrexham are warning people to be on their guard after a thief who broke into a car stole a quantity of insulin.

The incident happened sometime overnight between June 11 and 12 when a thief smashed the side window of a Ford Galaxy parked in Y Wern and made off with a bag containing some money and a quantity of insulin in an Epi-Pen.

Sgt Bryn Jones said: “If someone was to inject the insulin, either deliberately or by accident, it could have serious medical consequences. I would ask anyone who may come across this item to take it to the nearest police station.”

Anyone with information about the theft from the vehicle is asked to call police on 101. Crime reference number R087786.
