On Monday we received reports of a twister hitting parts of Wrexham, and now a video of what appears to be a small tornado has surfaced!

We reported on the odd weather that hit the town on Monday, which included hailstones, high winds and heavy rain. In our report we mentioned localised damage in the Llay / Rhosddu area with people referring to a ‘tornado’ in Pandy.

Stephen Brown from Wrexham has uploaded the below video of a ‘small twister’ over the town. It was recorded just before 3pm on Monday, and takes a few minutes to form and move across the sky.

Further to this we have also been told by someone close to Pandy that the ‘tornado’ blew a large trampoline almost on to railway lines.

The resident got in touch yesterday to say “Our 14 ft trampoline been missing since yesterday afternoon! It blew away in tornado yesterday afternoon.

“We spotted the flying trampoline at edge of railway line. It’s travelled a good 200 metres, over a high hedge.”

We are told British Transport Police were made aware of the rouge trampoline and removed it.

Another Wrexham.com reader, Rob Jones, got in touch today to say a ‘tornado’ damaged areas by the hospital.

He told us “Monday at around 3pm a tornado took a roof off an outbuilding and took a few trees down. Also inside the hospital the doors were rattling and the curtains got sucked against the windows as it went by and ceiling tiles lifted”.
