The police helicopter has been active in the skies of Wrexham this afternoon, resulting in the arrest of two ‘wanted men’.

Police have told us two ‘wanted men’ were arrested by officers this afternoon near Crescent Close in Caia.

Eyewitnesses have said how the overhead unit was supporting police on the ground, with several police vehicles in the area, and foot ‘chase’ on Coed Aben.

One person is suspected of dangerous driving and assault, and the other was arrested for threatening behaviour and breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order.

An incident of shoplifting at Plas Coch was reported just after 3pm, with initial thoughts the helicopter activity was related, although the incident took place after the helicopter had moved on.
