Arrests After Car Abandoned On Fairways Estate – One Person Found Hiding In Wheelie Bin

Two teenagers are in custody in Wrexham police station this afternoon after being arrested after a car was stolen in Minera.

UPDATE: It appears by this tweet that one of the youths was found hiding in a wheelie bin…

In what has been described as a ‘brief pursuit and foot chase’ the pair were detained in the Fairways estate area of town this morning.

Police told us, “A vehicle which had been reported stolen from New Brighton, Minera was spotted driving down Prices Lane this morning.

“The offenders aged 16 and 17 abandoned the vehicle near the Fairways, and were pursued on foot and arrested.

“They are currently in custody in Wrexham police station.”
