Wrexham town center has its own new bus route now that runs in an endless loop, and we thought we would give it a run out today to see how things are going! The 101 service was introduced in March in response to calls from traders and shoppers to make getting around the town centre shopping areas much easier.

It runs from Wrexham General Train Station and visits the King St bus stop, High Street, Mount Street, Salop Road, Eagles Meadow, Market Street and Island Green.

A drivers eye view, with some parking that creates problems.

The service is currently free, and its operated as a ‘hail to stop’ in the pedestrianised areas which is proving to be very convenient.

The theme of the day was third party parking causing problems

The service on Thursday experienced problems with inconsiderate parking from motorists and delivery vehicles. We understand parking tickets are being issued though!

Parking on a roundabout & bus lane at the same time was quite impressive but caused problems.
