Trap ‘baited with cat food’ badly injures cat

The above pictures have been released of a trap set in Penycae on Tuesday evening that injured a cat that was caught in it.

North Wales Police Rural Crime Team said the trap was set around Maelor Avenue in Penycae on Tuesday evening.

They added it was ‘baited with cat food’, and sadly a cat was caught in the trap badly injuring it.

Police have described the incident as being ‘horrendously cruel’.

The trap has now been seized.
