The ongoing roadworks on the A483 have continued to cause misery for motorists this morning, with some drivers reporting delays of over an hour on the road.

Traffic is currently backed up past Rossett on the A483 Northbound straight through to the Posthouse Roundabout as a result of the ongoing pinch point roadworks on the road.

One lane of A483 Wrexham Road Northbound Lane is closed on the exit slip road due to the ongoing roadworks on the A55 / J38. Speed restrictions of 50mph are in place.

Delays in the area began shortly after 7am this morning, with some drivers reporting delays of an hour and ten minutes.

Motorists have since taken to Twitter to comment on this morning’s delays, with one person tweeting: “A483 absolutely disgusting traffic.not moving at all. Due in Manchester for hospital appointment at 09.00am.”

Tricia sent Wrexham.com the above photo at 8:21am, adding: “Stuck in this traffic jam crawling just past Gresford turn off, trying to get to work in Chester.”

Others have joked that there is currently free parking in place along the A483 Northbound.
