Thousands Of Pounds Of Meat Stolen From Gresford Butchers

Thousands of pounds worth of meat produce has been stolen from a butchers in Wrexham.

Police are appealing for information following the theft of thousands of pounds worth of meat from a butchers in the Gresford area.

The offenders broke into butchers overnight on November 27 /28 and stole various meats including steaks, chickens, gammons, sausages and bacon.

Some of the bacon was in cardboard boxes labelled ‘VIKING’ and chicken fillets were in ‘VRIESEKOOP ZOETERMEER’ boxes.

PC Rhian Jones said: “Due to the amount and weight of the meats it is believed a van or a couple of vehicles would have been used. If anyone is offered these products or has information which will assist our investigation they should call 101 and quote reference RC14186744.”
