Police forensic teams have been working early this morning in the Acton area after properties were broken into overnight.

Two properties were broken into one on Oswald Way, off Rhosnesni Lane, and another on Oak Drive around the corner. We have been told of another break in around the Borras area however it is as yet unconfirmed.

The property on Oswald Way had a patio window smashed with a television stolen, with the burglary reported to police at 7:50pm last night.

The Oak Drive property had its back door smashed with a laptop being stolen, and was reported to police today.

One resident told us they saw ‘glass all over the floor in the back garden’ of one of the houses, with forensic teams at work very early this morning.

North Wales Police had recently tweeted indicating an increase in patrols in the area over the last few nights and two previous burglaries in the area:

North Wales Police have this morning told Wrexham.com there has been a ‘spate’ of such burglaries in the area where thieves smash glass patio doors or glass back doors to steal electrical goods.

They added that as per the tweet above, patrols are being stepped up and anyone with any information is urged to call them by dialling 101.
