Bus users are being advised of some temporary service changes this week while resurfacing works on Chester Road take place.

Arriva say that between Thursday 17th August and Tuesday 22nd August, the route 7 and 8 buses from Wrexham to Caia Park will divert via Powell Road, Bodhyfryd, Tesco roundabout, Holt Street, Market Street and the normal route to Caia Park.

Buses from Caia Park to Wrexham will operate normal route to Market Street then divert via Holt Street, Bodhyfryd, Powell Road, Inner Link Road, Rhosddu Road and King Street to Wrexham Bus Station.

The temporary change in service comes as a result of phase two of the roadworks which are currently being undertaken on Chester Road.

Work resurfacing Chester Road began on Saturday, with the road closures taking place between 7pm and 11pm to minimise disruption.

During the second phase of the roadworks, which take place between Thursday 17th August and Tuesday 22nd August, will see the road from the entrance to the Library Car Park through to the junction with Chester Road and Powell Road will be closed in both directions.

Traffic will be diverted via Chester Street, Holt Street and Powell Road and vice versa.
