Students at Glyndwr have completed a week full of events and challenges for charity in the university’s annual RAG Week.

The university’s Students’ Guild organised the sponsored events to raise funds for Wrexham’s  Hope House Children’s Hospice.

Students paid to compete in the Chilli Sauce Challenge in The Centenary Bar, with a mix of chili flakes, chilli sauce and Tabasco sauce being loaded into mouths in a series of rounds as part of the challenge.

Other events included Where’s Wally, where students paid a £1 entry fee to win drinks vouchers by finding Students’ Guild president Adam Fuller who was dressed as Wally.

Adam said: “The RAG week was great fun and knowing that we were raising money for a great local cause all along was an added bonus.

“Hope House provides a valuable service to families across the region and we’re glad to be able to play a part in helping them out.”

A onsie and duvet day, Mr and Mrs Glyndŵr competition, fundraising car wash, pub crawl and dare day completed the set of events for the Raising and Giving Week.

The Students’ Guild has set up a Just Giving page where donations to Hope House can be made online: www.justgiving.com/glyndwrragweek
