Student nurses looking for donations to help deliver “presents for patients” this Christmas
A group of student nurses are hoping to bring some festive cheer to hospital patients this Christmas.
The students from Bangor University’s Wrexham Campus are promoting their annual ‘Presents for Patients’ appeal to make sure that no one is forgotten at Christmas time.
Now in its third year, the appeal sees the group deliver boxes full of donations from the public and handwritten cards to patients who are in the Wrexham Maelor Hospital over the festive period.
They recently met the Mayor of Wrexham, Andy Williams, to help promote their work.
Members of the public are being invited to make donations such as toiletries / puzzles/ diaries / clothing such as socks and slippers, to make sure that those who are alone this Christmas, can have a thoughtful gift and some festive cheer.
Donations can be made at drop off points at the Bangor University’s Wrexham campus, the Buttered Crust cafe in Llangollen and McDonalds in Chirk until December 10th.
