Wrexham City Inspector Luke Hughes has provided another run down of recent policing responses – including an update from the air ambulance which landed in the city centre this afternoon (pictured above).

The Inspector said, “Those in the city centre this afternoon may have noticed the Air Ambulance landing outside the Guild Hall, sadly never a nice sight no matter how impressive as it means someone is in need of help… and quickly. I can confirm a male had a medical episode in the city centre and has now been taken to hospital where he remains. A massive thank you to all who tried their best to offer some comfort.”

His update also included an update on a previously mentioned man who has ‘skipped leg day’ – and now branded ‘spaghetti legs’ by the Inspector, who related how the individual has been sent “straight to prison for 26 weeks”.

The full update verbatim is below:

Starting with some good news… the young man that skipped leg day at the gym and who was named as a result of my public appeal; pleaded guilty and went straight to prison for 26 weeks.… justice served.. although 26 years would have been my preference..

He was joined by another local menace who had caused a number of issues including smuggling two bottles of red wine out of a large supermarket in his already tight shorts. (I hope they were wiped down before going back on display…) he received three months custody.

Two people who brought little value to our community and who won’t be missed by many, sad but true.

On a less positive note, missing Person Kacper Krukowski remains outstanding so please continue to keep him in mind, some potential local sightings, keep the info coming please.

Review time, 24hrs from 7am on Monday to 7am this morning, best described as a “steady 24hrs” …

10:18hrs – Arrest of a forgetful male who missed his court date in Cheshire. Spotted on Lord Street and taken to Blacon Custody.

11:48hrs – Arrest of an intoxicated male at a hotel in Rhostyllen, rather drunk at not even midday. He was abusive to staff and officers and will be able to explain his rational to the Magistrates in a few weeks. Play silly games, win silly prizes.

14:30hrs – Random male not local to Wrexham detained in a large supermarket having tried to take two bottles pf wine. It turns out he had failed to appear in Manchester Crown court for offences of Robbery… taken directly to custody, did not pass go and did not collect £200 unless it was a fine on his way to Manchester. Bye Bye.

15:33hrs – Female in distress possibly acting aggressive on Chester Road – officers attend but do not locate. No further linked incidents noted.

15:47hrs – Shoplifting – Ruthin Road – spot of cider taken – CCTV enquiries pending.

18:39hrs – Erddig allotment – shed targeted – a location that hasn’t featured for a while and will need to be monitored in case we have further issues.

19:19hrs – Missing person – located safe & well.

20:05hrs – Report of shenanigans on Rhosddu Road – one male arrested for offences contrary to the stupidity in a public place act – charged and bailed to court this morning, nice cctv him doing his angry dance will accompany him.. He can explain his behaviour to the Magistrates.

20:42hrs – Concern for a male – located and support will be put in place.

23:24hrs – Missing person – located safe & well.

23:44hrs – Domestic assault – one male arrested.
