Wrexham town centre has had a dusting of the white stuff, and higher ground has more snow – we are updating the below with the latest information…

Midday Final Update That’s the end of our snow updates for this morning after about four and a half hours, thanks to everyone who has been in touch and followed our ‘live blog’!

Seems to be the end of the snow for today, but the weather warning is back in place tomorrow afternoon with a cold night ahead. As always we will be keeping an eye on things, and if you spot anything pop us an email to [email protected] or tweet us @wrexham!

Up the road in Deeside there seems to be a different kind of yellow warning in place…

11:45am A wonderful shot from earlier…

11:30am Latest from Ysgol Clwyedog – any chance we can borrow that snow plough?

11:17am Thanks to Lesley for this pic / tweet of plenty of people enjoying the snow in Brymbo this morning!

11:04am Sun is shining over Wrexham now and quite a few out enjoying the snow. Another weather warning in place this tomorrow afternoon, so keep your wellies and gloves out for a bit longer!

10:38am After a trip around town it seems main routes are looking decent, untreated side roads are a different matter. A little bit of a thaw taking place as the sun has come out, but possibly more snow on the way. Below is a picture we took from the Pandy bridge of the A483.

10:08am No further school updates as nearly all updated their position earlier this morning. Snow has stopped in the town centre and although the Met Office says there will be no more, the radar indicates a further flurry around 11am.

09:54am Although we understand it was announced earlier to parents Acton Park Community Primary have updated they are closed via the council website.

09:44am North Wales Police have said “It has now stopped snowing in Wrexham and Flintshire and the roads are clearing – however, please keep an eye on the forecast and allow plenty of time for your journey if you do head out.”

09:40am After the rush hour and morning disruption, there are some great pictures from around the Wrexham area. Below was taken by Claire in Erbistock, who enjoyed the view earlier ‘before joining the chaos of the A483’.
