Six youngsters from the Wrexham Rugby Club have been selected to join the North East Wales Squad.

The group attended trials in Mold over the course of three weeks along with 54 other talented children from teams across North East Wales.

Coaches narrowed it down to just 24 players – with the six boys from Wrexham all being selected.

Those players that have been chosen are now setting their sights forward in hopes of being selected to play in the national “DC Thomas Cup” where they will be competing against teams such as Cardiff, Swansea & Llanelli.

The boys are from two teams:-

Wrexham U11’s

Aidan Roberts, Charlie Carmichael, Oliver Mitchell (all from St Peters) and Oliver Whittingham (Ysgol Deiniol) who are coached by Alex Williams (head coach), Gareth Roberts & Kevin Steel.

Wrexham U12’s

Tomos Crewe (Ysgol Yr Hafod) and Luke Sinnott-Davies (Ysgol I.D Hooson) who are coached by Phil Simmonds & Stuart Pomeroy.

Wrexham Rugby Club is currently recruiting for new players at all age groups.
