North Wales Police say officers have charged six individuals with shoplifting offences following a high value theft from a store in Wrexham earlier this week.

Police said, “Staff at the Boots store in Eagles Meadow made two separate reports of suspected shoplifting, which had occurred in quick succession on Wednesday, 24 April.

“Upon officers arriving at the scene and reviewing CCTV footage, the suspects and their vehicles were quickly identified.

“Two cars, each carrying three individuals, were subsequently stopped by patrol officers in Wrexham and Chirk respectively.

“All six of the occupants were arrested after goods worth in excess of £3,000 were recovered from the vehicles.

“Three male suspects, Florian Ionel Mihai, 42, of Lord Street, Walsall; Sima Vasile, 55; and Alexandru Florin Mihai, 22, both of no fixed address, appeared at Mold Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 25 April, charged with theft from a shop.

“Three females, Ana-Maria Mihai, 27; Florina-Luminita Mihai, 40; and Vivi Ionela Nastur, 22, all of no fixed address, faced similar charges.
Nastur pleaded guilty to theft from a shop and was sentenced to eight weeks in prison.

“Each of the five other defendants entered not guilty pleas and have been remanded in custody.

“They are currently awaiting trial and will appear in court at a later date.”
