A man was arrested this morning after a police ‘pursuit’ ended with him driving to the police station to hand himself in.

Posted just after 5am this morning the series of tweets from PC Thomas Hough document the bizarre events that led to the man being formally apprehended:

Late last night and into the early hours of the morning a large police presence was seen around the Bellevue Park area of town, with the police helicopter overhead. Officers were seen conducting house to house enquiries and searches of a hedgerow. There is no indication that this activity was linked to the above incident as of yet.
