Police are appealing for anyone who has any information that could assist with the investigation into the unexplained death of a Wrexham man to come forward.

On 1st June 2020, North Wales Police were called to the home address of 60-year-old Terrence Edwards in Pont Wen, following a report from a concerned neighbour that he had not been seen for a couple of days.

Officers from Wrexham attended and found Mr Edwards was sadly deceased within the address.

Police say the initial thoughts of attending officers was that this was non-suspicious, and a report was submitted in the usual way to the coroner.

However in a fresh statement issued this evening, North Wales Police say the findings of the post mortem examination on 11th June have highlighted some concerns over the cause of death and we have therefore started an investigation into the matter.

Chief Inspector Mark Williams said; “As part of our investigation there is a police presence in the area and house to house enquiries are being made.

“If anyone had contact with Mr Edwards since May 28  or  has any information that could assist our investigation please contact us on 101 or use the live webchat https://www.north-wales.police.uk/contact/live-chat-support.”
