Petrol Station Closed Following Reports of Overnight ‘Robbery’
A petrol station in Wrexham remains closed this morning following local reports of a ‘incident’ at the property overnight, believed to be a robbery.
Earlier this morning a number of people contacted Wrexham.com regarding an incident at an Esso garage in Rhostyllen.
Dave Williams said earlier this morning: “Anybody know what’s going on at Rhostyllen petrol station?? All taped off and CSI van parked up in there.”
Aled Edwards who sent Wrexham.com the images featured above shortly after 9am – showing the petrol station still closed earlier.
One local resident has said the incident occurred around 3am, and is believed to have been a robbery or attempted robbery.
Another said a robbery, or attempted robbery, occurred around 3:30am this morning with someone ‘armed with a hammer’ demanding cigarettes from the cashier.
