The remainder of a building which dramatically collapsed in Wrexham over the weekend has been demolished.

The former Wrexham Motoring Supplies Store in Pen-y-Bryn collapsed suddenly on Sunday evening, narrowly missing a passing vehicle.

The incident took place at around 4:30pm on Sunday evening, resulting in the overnight closure of the road while the majority of the building was demolished.

The demolition of the remainder of the building began early this morning, with JCB diggers used to tear down the property. The adjoining buildings were also torn down.

It is believed the building was due to be demolished within the next few weeks, however the remainder of the property was demolished last night. Much of the site now remains as rubble, with the collapsed building leaving quite a large, vacant space on the street.
