The northbound A483 Wrexham to Chester bypass was ‘gridlocked’ from Rossett – with some reports of an incident at the Posthouse Roundabout.

Update 7pm – The roads have since cleared.

UPDATE: Highways England have said at 6pm “There are very long delays on the A483 northbound between the B5102 and A55 heading towards Chester due to a collision. No lanes closed.” There is no detail to the reported collision.

Ruth has told us there are two possible accidents, “One from Broughton A55 approach to Posthouse, one from A483 Wxm approach to Posthouse. Crap roundabout”

Original information…
Others who have spent 45 minutes on the road and turned off on to the A55 have said they saw no broken down vehicles or crashes.

The queues started around 5pm, and as of 6pm are still occurring.

Official updates note ‘queueing traffic and traffic heavier than normal’ but no incidents are recorded.
